The young Drake fan who won over the nation earlier this summer after convincing the rapper to visit her in hospital has spoken out for the first time since receiving a heart transplant.

Sofia Sanchez, 11, underwent a nine-hour surgery on August 27, just a week after receiving a visit from the star at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She was discharged on September 12.
She hopes to be able to go home by October 31 and has a Halloween costume planned for the occasion.
