Use of phone at the polling unit is allowed, it is only at the voting point (I.e the cubicle) that it is not allowed, since that is the point where vote buying takes place (I.e capturing the ballot paper indicating the party you voted for and presenting this to the party agent for payment).

PDP Governorship candidate,Senator Ademola Adeleke(in white), with his allies during visits to some heads and elders in Alagbede, Asunmo communities during the election in Ede on Saturday
#punchnewspaper #OsunDecide #osundecides #osundecides2018 #SaveOurDemocracy #NotTooYoungToRun #ourmumudondo #nigerians #nigeria #GrowNigeria

Victory is assured, says Adeleke

After casting his vote, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke, has assured his supporters that, if he is not rigged out by the authorities in charge of the process that he sure of victory on this governorship election.

Adeleke who arrived exactly 8am at his polling unit 009, Ward 2, Abogunde/Sagba registration area, Ede North, was the first to vote at the unit.

The Card Reader Machine had initial difficulties authenticating his fingerprints, but after about five minutes, he succeeded in doing his accreditation.

The PDP flag bearer who voted at about 8.07am told reporters afterwards that so far everything was proceeding normally and that if it continues that way he is sure of victory.

He said attempts were made to frustrate his bid, to disstabilise him ahead the election, but everything failed in the end.

Buoyed by the support he is getting from his constituency in Ede, Senator Adeleke who surprisingly emerged winner of the Osun West senatorial by-election in July 2017 fancies himself as the next governor of Osun State.

Adeleke became actively involved in partisan politics when he contested and won the by-election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following the sudden death of his elder brother, former Governor Isiaka Adeleke, then a serving senator, in April 2017.

Ademola Adeleke had defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP, when he suspected that the ruling APC in Osun State would deny him its ticket for the contest.

He proved book makers wrong when, contrary to widespread expectations, he won the election which was conducted on July 23, 2017. Everyone had expected the APC to win the election.

As a result, the victory of Adeleke who is popularly called the ‘dancing senator’ came as a rude shock to the APC and a tonic to the PDP who had hitherto experienced waning popularity.

Perhaps that is the opposition party decided to give him the ticket for today’s governorship election.

If you are not from osun and you actually typed this , please find somewhere and die in peace rather receive torturous death

When we checked the real stats of Osun especially WAEC , Students actually performed better

If teachers aren't motivated then they should be retrenched , their union agreed to modulated salary

Nobody goes to library anymore when there are ebooks and co for free online , when government shared Opon imo , it was a great innovation for students to learn, but instead students were sharing / downloading porn and other movies on it , how is that Aregbe's fault ?

Osogbo steel rolling road , that sounds like the area you ply everyday, what about other very standard roads that he built ? why name that one in particular if not for selfish interest ??

Akande indeed sacked workers and built Abeere , But aregbe didn't sack anyone hence the modulated salaries and he's still building great structures across the state , not just one Abeere office

Please press red and disappear from this thread before people start cursing you

mknigeriagreat:
For me Aregbesola on performance rating scores below 40%. He built great schools but the products of those schools are pure zero. Teachers to teach her pupils ain't motivated so it is all about buildings. Instead of equipping the libraries, he opted for the scam of Opon imo. He constructed so many roads but most not all are substandard. Osogbo to steel rolling ikirun road from ayetoro goes around 25 to 35km but the road is almost gone thanks to the little rain. Akande that preceded him within the party had the same attitude sacked most teachers and used their salaries to build that great government office abeere. Oyinlola paid salaries, renovated schools, equipped libraries, built new classrooms in almost all the schools within the state, built uniosun with several faculties in major towns with little fund and did some road construction. He never took loans more than the capacity of the state. But they all wanted him out and the rest is history.

Oyetola shares the same ideology with aregbesola and he won't in any way perform better. The IGR of osun needs to be worked on seriously. For me, Omisore would have been better but people see him as the atiku of osun a betrayal. And tied with the death of Bola ige has affected his political career. Aregbesola needs to be tried before a competent court on how he squandered the state funds and took the state into that huge loan debt. Oyetola won't do that. The so called international airport was another scam and lost money. For me aregbesola must be tried seriously in court.

For me, the only mistake I will never forgive oyinlola for was what happened during the privatisation of the Federal govt companies within the State. How and why oyinlola didn't buy steel rolling and mailing tools for the state still remains a shock to me. If osun had those two coys under her, it will create huge fund for the state but while he was bouncing upadan Harry Akande and dancing came in. Our leaders generally don't think about us God knows.
