Father And Son Running For The Same Senate Seat In Benue South. by azimibraun: 6:33am On Sep 21, 2018
Chief Mike Okibe Onoja will be squaring out with his God Son on the 27th of September for the candidacy of the PDP in Benue South Senatorial district primary election.
Chief Okibe who is a retired permanent secretary at the ministry of defence and retired years ago, is 70+ and not in the best shape at the moment but insist he must bear the title "Distinguished Senator" before he dies. He said he has Doctor, Mr and Chief. He won't get Governor so he will settle for "Distinguished Senator"
Rt. Hon Joseph Ojobo who is just 40+ is currently a serving member of the Benue State House of Assembly and clearly the people's choice. But Daddy is determined to break the bank and chase his ego trip and dream. We will be watching from the sidelines. Whether money and ego will be chosen over readiness, competence and service to the people. Chief Okibe is actually begging for one term just to bear the title and then he allows Hon Joe in 2023. Below is a picture they took on the 17th of september 2018 at a PDP forum. The son insists he must seat near his daddy as politics and ambition cannot separate them. What a shame for older Nigerians.

The rush to occupy the ftc often prevents many nairalanders from properly reading an article before commenting.
Or is it possible that some people do not know the difference between godson and biological son?

The two of them are running for the same position which is Benue South senatorial seat but there is no personal relationship between them in fact that day was the first time they met face to face. I know Joe Ojobo personally he has never had any God father.
