@SuanusBlog A former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, on Saturday declared to vie for governorship of Adamawa state. Mr Ribadu said he was overwhelmed by the turnout, which, he said, was indicative of people’s desire for change in the state. Ribadu who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lambasted the state government for what he called its failings in addressing the aspirations and needs of the people. He promised to provide an all-inclusive leadership devoid of deceit and lies if given the chance to lead the state. “We are sure Ribadu will not deceive us. We are sure he will not cheat us and believe he is here to salvage the state,” Sadiq Jacob, a youth who spoke on behalf of Ribadu’s supporters said. Suanu’s Blog recalls that Mr.Ribadu was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015but lost to incumbent, Mohammed Jibrilla of the APC. Mr. Ribadu subsequently defected to the APC.
