Thank God NLC has called off the strike, because it really affected many Government and some private agencies.
Nevertheless, the primary issue NLC are fighting for, which is this Minimum Wage issue must not be forgotten easily. The Minimum Wage issue should be fought to the latter!

So iin essence, the cost of paralysing economic activities nationwide for two working days equals a verbal promise from the government to act

A confused NLC group......

I knew they will called off the strike.... as predicted!!! Because the FG by Ngige pretended not to be aware of the strike that he'd handled scientifically...

But again, the only solid revenue and tax-income by the FG is via crude oil, ports, custom and FIRS....

Taxes will increase in all fronts if the MW is increased to 56k.....

And many states will suffer the most... Especially Osun with the pending arrears.....

They are not confused. The strike was meant to be warning. Warning strike don't usually lasts more three days.

And the grounds for the strike were essentially two: reconvene the tripartite committee on minimum wage (achieved) and come up with a FGN's proposed figure (promise made).

The next phase is that of ASUU.

This Nlc is most useless. At 18k minimum wage workers are being owed huge backlog of salary arrears, in some states as much as 6- 9 months, and Nlc did not call a strike but the clowns are now asking for 56k!

When has Nationwide Strike become a tool to be used by children?

Mr chairman, you lack good communication skills. You totally failed to read your opponent's body language before dragging everybody into this.

Well, even if you misread the FG's response pattern, you should have allowed the strike to last for atleast 1 full week so that when next you mention the work strike, everyone would take you seriously.

You see your life?

Why go for the strike in the first place?

Want us to believe that an agreement has been reached?

Maybe APC gave NLC leaders the package that they gave to Osun people...

Negotiation was stalled hence the warning strike but the committee is now billed to reconvene on Thursday.

Strike suspended without the achievements......! only poor men go suffer am. I guess that should be a camouflage strike to pretend as if they are really fighting for the masses.
Re: NLC: Labour Suspends Strike by LivingBetter: 3:35pm On Sep 30, 2018
I knew that even if the FG agree with NLC on their demand, it would have been an empty promise to save face to get workers present in 1st October independence celebration. It would have been a great embarrassment to Buhari led FG if Nigerian workers were not present...what appears not to have taken place in the history of Nigeria.
For NLC to say they will continue the strike on Wednesday after independence attest to the above.

According to NLC, the warning strike was supposed to cover 14days....And the FG is yet to release a press as to whether they've reconvened the Tripartite committee set for the MW....

No. It was the ultimatum given FGN that lasted 14 days.

Re: NLC: Labour Suspends Strike by bahaushe1: 3:47pm On Sep 30, 2018
It seems many of us are not aware of the reasons for the strike.

The strike was meant to compell FGN to reconvene the tripartite committee on minimum wage. This has been achieved.

am not surprised and Nigerians are not surprised as well. what do you expect when this neutral body has been hijacked by this present administration. the labour president and the minister are all dancing to the tone of this administration. that's why I still accolade Adams oshomola when he was the NLC CHAIRMAN.. THIS Ayuba wabba is incompetent.

Let no one deceive you bro PMB is going no where except the present INEC and the head of security agencies are reorganize. So those numbers of votes APC is brandishing around claiming voted for PMB in the APC presidential primary election is for what purpose? They've started the rigging already to return him come 2019.
The idea is to prepare your mind ahead of 2019 when it will be perfected.
Some of the results are as follows:

Rivers APC 388,653 votes.
2 Kano - 2,931,235 votes
3 Lagos - 1.9million votes
4 Zamfara- 247,840,Votes
5 Imo State- 697,532 Votes
