Eight out of the ten governorship aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara Chapter, withdrew from the primary election on Monday.

Eight aspirants announced their withdrawal at the resumed delegates’ conference to elect a governorship candidate for state in Ilorin.

The primary, which was to hold on Sunday was disrupted following an attempt to impose a candidate on the delegates.

At the resumed accreditation of delegates for the primary election, the eight aspirants announced their withdrawal from the race.

With the withdrawal of the eight governorship aspirants, the race is now between House of Representatives member, Hon. Razak Atunwa and Senator Shaba Lafiaji, representing Kwara North at the Upper chamber.

Just as Tinubu's hand can't be removed from Lagos politics, Saraki remains the Maradona of Kwara Politics.

All the contestants are just withdrawing based on his instruction to pave way for his anointed candidate; Razak Atunwa.

Sha'aba Lafiagi is just another stooge from Kwara North. He is just yet to withdraw to avoid criticism. It's evident already, Saraki has anointed Atunwa for them.

I just wish APC would be able to field a formidable candidate that would defeat Atunwa at the poll. From Honourable Speaker of the Kwara house of assembly to House of Representative and now want to become the governor of the state

Perhaps, Kwarans are now ready to free themselves from Saraki, Time shall tell!

All what I know is Saraki is no going area in Kwara state if u don't believe just wait till 2019
