Overall Description
Directly responsible for the overall design and illustrative/graphic /visuals for use in exhibition display or department/ school publications, scholarly work and professional journal, create posters, logos and other materials to communicate ideas and information visually. Our Graphic artists combine art and technology to create visually communicative designs. The work of graphic artists can be seen in magazines, advertising, book covers, album covers, restaurant menus, food labels, billboards, clothing and more that our clients expect us to deliver on. Traditional forms of art such as painting and sketching may be employed in creating designs, but there is need for a deep understanding of modern graphic design that can be performed using computers and image editing software such as COREL DRAW, Adobe Photoshop etc.

Job Description
We are seeking a new Graphic Artist to join our team. You will be designing a wide variety of things across digital and offline media. To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, team player, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail.

Graphic Designer Responsibilities:
• Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials.
• Works directly with Customers by Illustrating concepts and designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval.
• Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software.
• Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
• Prepares layouts, designs, art work and formats for use in publication and /or exhibition design; Layout and scale photos, marking them for proper screen values for print reproduction; Designs, lays out, and produces artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs and report covers;
• Communicating with clients about layout and design.
• Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

Graphic Designer Requirements:
• Diploma in graphic design or related field with 5 years minimum experience.
• Experience as a graphic designer or in related field.
• Highly creative and Expressionist.
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, COREL Draw, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator.
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.
• Experience with computer-aided design.

• Must be willing to work overtime
