It Is Not About What We Know As Christians But What We Really Do by Nobody: 10:50pm On Oct 04, 2018
"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. " ( James 1: 22-24)

Months ago, I found a quote in a book written by Author and Pastor John C Maxwell, which says "After all has been said and done, more is usually been said than done." This really applies to we Christians today. Many people's knowledge about the Bible is so tremendous; many are sure to win competitions when it comes to how much one knows the Bible teachings. However, when it comes to applications and practices of these things, just a few are counted.

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven."(Matthew 7:21)(my emphasis)
It is never what we know that saves us but what we really do. Knowing that Our Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins is not enough but trusting Him in everything is what matters.

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without work is dead?"(James 2:19-20) These verses truly explains how vulnerable we are, if mere "knowing" all Christ does for us is what we base our believe on. While there is nothing wrong with having great knowledge, it is expedient to understand that one holy action is better than a thousand eloquent discussions.

Let us make it our motive to say less and do more. Let us make it our motive to be doers not mere hearers. Let's not spend so much time checking ourselves in the mirror but come straight out of deception and truly live our faith.

May the Lord Jesus Christ Himself sanctify us so that we will be established in every good work for His Glory. Amen
