This is why it is hard to trust anything Nigerian.

That school is a fraud issuing fake degree certificates to IPOB infiltrating our govt institutions. I know many in Abuja who obtained such certificates without any stress and are working now.....

This is Nigeria, everybody is a criminal! Nothing good in education sector do come out from that state. They keep producing unripe graduates from Enugu State University of Technology that do disgrace themselves, their families and the university.

Corporate criminality. That's the kind of country we live in. They only understand collecting money but would never refund the full amount for service not rendered. Blasted shithole country.

Get an activist body or a lawyer friend to write them a strongly worded letter and threaten to sue for 5 million naira damages.

Address it directly to the rector and registrar. Copy to the federal ministry of education, chairman house and senate commitees on education. Make sure you attach the letter of admission as exhibit.

You don't need to go Abuja just waybill it to the respective offices. The rector has name to protect in Abuja, when you threaten his integrity they will throw you your money and even add some more for your troubles.

What I have learnt in life especially in nigeria is, when someone bigger than you maltreats you, try to connect or contact a higher authority bigger than the one maltreating you and you will see them humbled. It works all the time.

He has no business with federal ministry of education. I think the school is owned by Enugu State Govt. He can only copy the polytechnic regulatory authority, a replica of National University Commission, for the universities.

This thing can change the students life financially to being a millionaire if he gets a good lawyer. The school IMT will then choose to settle out of court than have what is remaining of their image dragged down the mud.

A man has taken to social media to cry out for help after securing admission into the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu state only to find out the department never existed. This is after paying the required fees and completing the registration. 

Matthew Etopobong Udeme, took to twitter to narrate his ordeal which has seen him waste almost one year without collecting the refund.

He wrote; 

"Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu gave me HND admission in Mechatronics Engineering, Dec 2017. Following the steps on the website, I completed full payment hoping to start school in January 2018. On getting there, I realized the department does not exist".

"I wrote the first letter asking for a change of department from Mechatronics Engineering to E/E, the school replied that department cannot be changed in HND, leaving me with no other option than to forfeit the admission, stay at home for another one year and seek fresh admission".

"Feb. 2018, I wrote another letter asking for refund of the total money paid (68,500), since the admission did not work. The school rather approved ONLY 40,000. Well, I accepted and kept checking on the cashier so I can get the 40,000".

"Since February till October, cashier keeps saying, "there's no order to pay yet, we're still waiting for the management". The worst was after I relocated with my family from Enugu to Lagos, I travelled back to Enugu just to follow up on this money, still the "no order yet".

"I have already lost so much; - one full year wasted, I'm currently trying to get admission else where. - on the way returning from Enugu, I was attacked, my laptop and phone taken from me. - I've wasted a lot of money going to the school since February to track the progress".

 "I call on the authorities to assist me get back my complete money. They say they cannot refund the acceptance fees. What exactly did I accept? Admission into a department that does not exist? Even the 40,000, it's been 8 good months, nothing is coming out. Please help me. Thanks".

Talk to your lawyer and charge them to court. They will beg you to come and collect all your money with interest and settle out of court. Rubbish and scam in higher institutions.

If this were in England, hehehe this boy would've been rich. Lawyers will beg to represent him. They will multiply the counts of charges against the school. Finally eh, the boy will end up being a heavily compensated celeb, other schools will beg him. His life will change.

But this is Nigeria...smh

It's really a shame that an institution of learning that's suppose to display the highest degree of integrity turns to be fraudulent. Really a sad situation. Sue them for fraudulent misrepresentation and for both general and specific damages, for the loss you suffered.

If ur aim is to write stories, u have failed as a Nigerian. But if u wish to help, let me suggest the guy visits Abuja and visit the ordinary president of berekete family.

Carry all proofs along. I for say mk d guy go find SERVICOM but dem go waste e time. He needs justice cos many ppl have fallen for this fraud. They talked abt this on radio some weeks back. So many fake schools in the east.

send a mail with your evidences to EFCC. They recently busted some exam sorting syndicate which is not even directly related to their scope. This is a clear case of financial crime. 40k plus in this Buharific economy is not a child's money!

I know the guy he is my friend younger brother. Forget this country, He even tagged EFCC on Twitter and sent them a mail. Nigeria itself is a scam
