Hello, I'm seriously looking for people applying to flight schools. I can seem to find any Nigerian who went to, is at or planning to go to canada for studies. Just wondering if there is a problem with Nigerian studying in Canada or since its considered a vocational training visas is an issue. IELTS is not a requirement for admission but is it necessary for the student visa and since a degree is not a requirement will I need a transcript. Adding my degree to the application is to account for those years. Any info will be appreciated as canada visa application seems like a lot of work and time. Thanks

my application is the oldest here,I have been a silent follower,I applied since April 9 up till now my application is still showing eligibility review.

Wow. This is pathetic! Early April? And this is October. Heartless people. If I may ask, when did you do your Biometrics? Were you ever asked to come for Biometrics again? Have you been called for medicals? When did your eligibility review start? Do you have anything (maybe travel history) that could have made background check so long? Pls share your profile, order for GCMS. It will tell you why it's taking forever!

Thank You

Do you have any school in mind? How many years of study is it? You can contact the school directly. They will advise you if you will need a study permit. I haven't seen anyone on dis thread going to a flight school.

U can also contact gurus like galala13 And frankrobbn for more info. They have been on this thread for long enough.

Good day all. Please, I'll appreciate any useful information. I graduated with a GP of 3.48 on a 5point scale in Zoology and Environmental Biology. However, I intend changing my career path and I want to apply for a Post graduate diploma in any course that could lead me to get a Masters in marketing or advertising.

Please, what are the correct steps to take?

PS, I'll be done serving Nigeria by March next year and I'll like to have an actionable plan before then.

Please, what do you mean by raise eyeball? Do you mean during the interview or when I submit an application?

Regarding experience, I have partaken in several multi level marketing online schemes with awareness and advertising campaigns but I don't think that would count as I haven't physically worked in that capacity in any known establishment

Add it all ..!!! stop thinking of what wont count...start thinking of how to have a very good SOP.. its not a crime switching from one field to d other, dats why u are going for a pgd ..its only suspicious wen u cant say why u are switching and for what future benefits..

sure I have schools I've had correspondence with. Blue bird academy, Langley flight training and many more. On the average it takes a year and could be less depending on my own seriousness , yes I do need a study permit. I guess I will be the first person posting about flight schools although I'm sure we have silent readers.

The eyeball I meant is when you can not convince the Visa officer in LOE beyond reasonable doubt the reason for switching program.
Secondly, Canada embassy currently do not conduct physical interview for students Visa applicant's, your SOP takes care of your interview answers. Good luck

Evening House.

So, after waiting for 18weeks, CIC Kenya branch(lolz...), decide to wield their big stick of refusal. Mehn...this guys no dey fear God shaaa.

Refusal reasons were based on family ties in Canada & country of residence and purpose of visit.
I really dont get this guys, got admitted for MSc in Sociology, U of M. Have a Bsc in Sociology and currently working as a field officer in a development program. All family ties are here in Nigeria none whatsoever in Canada.

Guess my GCMS file will shade more light on the VO's point of reasoning.

Just thought I should update the house!

So sorry for the delay, but I suggest you address the point raised and quickly reapply instead of waiting for GCMS. Why do I say so? Your GCMS will always cometwith the same normal generic reasons they have already given. I suspect your refusal is base of visit and not ties bla bla! Could you send me the SOP you use for scrutiny? I guess that's were the refusal came from
