Peer-to-peer exchanges (P2P for short) were a natural development of the concept aimed at eliminating some limitations experienced regularly in Bitcoin exchanges. Since the evolution of Bitcoin some few years back by Satoshi Nakamoto, online exchanges served as the primary gateways into the cryptocurrency world. One thing that characterize the cryptocurrency world is the fact that a very limited number of shops, both online and brick and mortar shops, accept cryptocurrencies as payment (although this situation is changing gradually nowadays as more and more people begin to adopt crypto as a medium of payment).

One fact remains that there is a natural need for users to have some sort of interface between the economies of the real world and the Bitcoin. Popular online exchanges such as Bitstamp, Kraken and the likes have been fulfilling that need as the most popular place for trading or exchanging Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for fiat money and vice versa.

However, there is a downside to the services of these exchange companies. Unlike Bitcoin itself, these exchanges are managed by companies. This means that they have a team of staff that oversee and manage all the interactions between their users. They serve as arbitrators in cases of disputes and of course, there is a fee attached to such services. Seeing how that produces a whole number of disadvantages, some members of the Bitcoin community have set out to disrupt the market by producing a new solution -a decentralized peer-to-peer exchange that will revolutionize the crypto world, a platform run not by people but by a software – that’s exactly where Local Remit fits in.

By the Way, What is Local Remit?

I can answer this question with the last sentence in the above paragraph. Local Remit is set out to produce a new solution, a decentralized peer-to-peer exchange platform that is run by a software in order to curb the disadvantages/downsides experienced in the present day popular online exchanges, the disadvantages as stated in the above paragraph.

To elaborate further, Local Remit is a peer to-peer platform that enables traders to do without the middleman and trade on their own terms in bank transfers, online payment service, cash in person or any other agreement between two parties. Peer-to-peer platforms such as Local Remit helps users safely send and receive payments in P2P marketplaces while earning a public reputation for every completed transaction.

It greatly enhances the quid pro quo in business with decentralized reputation and feedback ratings, decentralized online business for secure payments, third-party dispute resolution and very low transaction costs. The connection of the platforms is key to establishing a safe and cheap way of transacting cryptocurrencies in the world thus it makes the online business easy to operate anywhere and reduces the overall costs that would otherwise delay the various businesses.

In the long run, it is important to note that the establishment of a trade situation that can make it look similar to the over the counter transactions is key to maintain the cost effectiveness of the peer-to-peer platforms.

Having learned what Local Remit is and what they are set out to offer, let me discuss briefly how you and i can benefit from this great company that will revolutionize the cryptocurrency world. If you have been following me on my blog (Fusion Spring Journal) lately, I’ve published two articles on the blog how anyone can tap into the blessings Local Remit is offering either through the Airdrop campaign (that run between September 14 to September 28) and the Bounty Campaign that is ongoing.

The Airdrop has ended but the Bounty is still on, you should hurry up and <a href="https://www.fsj.com.ng/2018/10/opportunity-to-earn-more-lrt-in-bounty.html">Join the Bounty Campaign</a> before it comes to end on the 31st of October.

You can equally benefit by participating in the Presale and the Public sale (i.e. ICO – Initial Coin Offering). Below is the detail/timeline for each of the activities to familiarize you with the project.

PRESALE

Presale will take place from 28th Sept - 15th October. For those who don't understand what presale is, Presale is the first round of public Initial Coin Offering (ICO). Initial coin offering is where a company or project issues tokens or digital coins popularly known as cryptocurrency to try raise funds to fund their project and to get listed on exchanges so that the tokens can derive value from circulation and use on the project when launched. There are two types of tokens. They are Utility Tokens and Security Tokens. Local Remit Token (LRT) is a Utility Token and they have explained that in their whitepaper how it will be used.

Public sale (ICO)

Public Sale will kick off on 15th October and run through to 31st October. During this period Local Remit will have second round of fundraising so that they can hit their Hard cap.

Exchange Trading & Bounty token Distribution

Exchange Trading and Bounty Token Distribution will start on 1st November and run through to 15th November. At the time of writing this, they have already started talking to exchanges and have made strategic partnership with one exchange which will be announced in coming days. During month of October they will pay for listing on exchanges that charge a fee to get listed and schedule trading to start 1st November.

Bounty program Tokens (including Airdrop) will start to be sorted and verified during the first week of November and they approximate it will take them 7-10 days if they hit the projected 80,000 members.

If you have participated in the Airdrop or Bounty Campaign, in order to be verified a form will be made available for all participants to fill with usernames of social accounts used to complete tasks on the bot. The form filling will happen as they sort the data so between 1st November to 10th November (approx.) they will create a sub domain on their site where you will input your address to see if you have been verified. This will be on week of verification.

So, if you have not partaken or registered to partake in any of the programs outlined above, what are you still waiting for? Sign up right away and accumulate as many Local Remit Tokens as you can. There is room for everyone to earn.

To register, <a href="http:///localremitbountbot?start=5413689941">Join Us here</a>.
