Hi, what distance does the car use 40 litres in? I mean, you said a trip to and from Lagos, but between Lagos and where, do you know roughly the mileage? I'll just need that to calculate the approximate mpg your car's returning.

I would NOT touch the ECU and injectors. I'd however check your air filter, if it's dirty, it'll make your car run richer (more thirst). It's very possible your car's running perfectly normal. What engine size is your Honda, and how long have you owned her for?
