This welfarist approach saw to the judicious use of a handsome percentage of the Paris funds and the FAAC for salaries and gratuities, while the state government focused on -
1) boosting the IGR (rose to 8th position within this period out of the 36 states), and,
2) mastering the application of Public-Private-Partnerships - to maintain the rate of infrastructural development and other projects within the state.

This above, mostly explains the outcome for Oyo state, in the infographic from an independent source below, coming down from 7-8 months.

Imo State pension was inherited from governments that came before Rochas. Well, Abia State has had the worst governors in south east from the inception of democracy in 1999.

I feel sorry for Osun State. I just hope Oyetola can make salaries payment his topmost priority.

This compilation is at it's best a hadiwork of a person who rely on falsehood provided by some people burning with hate with anything government.
The compilation should have been done on local government average when it comes to states owing. Also State civil servants who work in the ministries are a different group from subvention receiving parastetals who's fate are in their hands.
Be that as it may, the picture here of Abia is not only misleading but a lie . To put the facts bare no ministerial civil servant in Abia is owed a dime, Local government staff are owed 3.5 months, average pensioners pay arrers is 10 months. For the pensioners the case is that some are owed 4,5,6,7,8,9,10. One may ask why the disparity and I point to shaddy deals on corrupt account staff,also the laziness of some staff who prepare retirement documents "speaks volumes" ,then some staff have mishandled their records that it takes months to know some data packs in their employment records.
Sincerely speaking, Civil servants are the ones holding themselves down on some issues. For example they find it hard to treat files and push it to the next stage without seeking for their fellow-civil servants to "lick their ass" or "do something" Some will leave a retirement file as important as it is to attend to non-service matters like wedding and burials, sometimes misplacing it.

The information about Rivers not owing workers and pension is false.

So pensioneers that protest every day in Rivers are from where.

Even the state government has acknowledged that since 2015 pensioneers are yet to be paid.

Then for salaries RSSDA staff are being owed for over 3yrs.

Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority staff are being owed 13months as at September 30th.

A phone in programme was even organised on Nigeria info radio 92.3fm for owed workers and pensioneers last month and these people called saying how they've being owed for months and years it was a pitiable situation.

The entire work force in Osun state alone is more than the entire population of state like ebonyi. The work force in Osun state alone in 2017 is well above 2.2 million people that government of osun must pay while some states don't have more than 700,000 people they pay. Considering the meagre IGR in Osun state and the acheivenment on infrastructure, you should commend the government. He employed more instead of sacking.

Kudos Oyo state, we can do more.
