Why INEC Banned Presidential Aspirants From Campaigning Till Nov by Lacy5: 3:01pm On Oct 10, 2018
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently announced that there should be no public campaigning by any of the presidential candidates until November 18, 2018. According to the INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the decision is based on the timelines given by the agency and the provisions of the Electoral Act, which prohibits campaigns by political parties earlier than 90 days before polling day.
