The Postgraduate Scholarship Collaboration entered into by Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State with the French Government in 2016 has continued to yield high dividends as another set of staff from the institution recently departed for France to pursue their postgraduate studies in different fields.
Presenting the staff to the Vice-Chancellor in his office yesterday, the Director of AE-FUNAI/French Collaboration, Dr. Nnenna Nwosu-Nworuh, noted that three staff were the latest beneficiaries of the partnership the University has with the French Government, adding that they were set to leave for France immediately.

She explained that so far, the collaboration has provided international scholarships to 26 academic staff of the University in various Ivy League French Universities.

The latest beneficiaries of the scholarship include Mr. Ogbu Ikechukwu Martin who is going for his Ph.D. in Organic chemistry in the University of Boudreaux, Mrs. Udu-ituma Sandra Oluchi for M.Sc. in Canceology in Aix Marseille University and Miss Victoria Ogbusu for M.Sc. in Business Law in Aix Marseille University.
While receiving them in his office, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Chinedum Nwajiuba urged them to be worthy ambassadors of the University in their various institutions.

He admonished them to utilize the rare opportunity presented by the Partnership and ensure they perform excellently well in their academics in order to pave way for other staff in future. He further stressed the importance of work ethics, positive attitude and open-mindedness in academic success, charging them to eschew all academic vices.
“It is all about hard work, delivery, ethics and character”, he said.
He further noted that it was their competence, knowledge, attitude and ability to stand-out that would earn them the respect of their colleagues, supervisors and others while they were in abroad.
