A pan- Idoma social political group, Benue Advocates has faulted the PDP primary conducted for the Senatorial and House of representatives contestants describing it as a sham and rape on democracy

The group in a press statement issued in Otukpo and signed by its National chairman, Comrade Clement Oche and made available to newsmen lamented the manipulation and distortions that characterised the primary.

According to the Organisation, the primary which could not hold in the Senatorial district and was moved to makurdi the state capital was hijacked by men loyal to the former Senate President, David Mark.

The group faulted a situation where the delegate list was changed by some money bagged Abuja politicians who have little or no political relevance back home. A situation in which the authentic voters list was used for the PDP governorship Primary and a fabricated list was used for the Senatorial and House of representatives election , was totally condemned by the group.
