Hello Everyone, trust we are all doing well. Please i need advise from experienced travellers around combining tickets, and will share a background story of my application; 1) I have an ongoing PR Spousal sponsorship application...got AOR Feb 9th 2024. 2) I had applied for TRV since November 2023, did Biometrics dec1st 2023 ...this application was submitted with invitation letter from my wife who is a canadian PR, and reason for the visit is to travel for 2 weeks to celebrate her birthday with her and return back to Naija. However, I am considering booking 2 different tickets; One for Lagos to Ottawa trip (non-refundable) and another refundable (Ottawa to Lagos) which I plan to cancel as I don't plan to return since my PR application must have gone far by then, and coupled with the Policy that allows Spousal PR applicants to come in with TRV for Family reunification that was announced last year. Another thing is...I want to book these tickets now before the travel date is near and fares would be much expensive. My question now is: 1) Would it be okay to book the 2 tickets separately and cancel the return leg when I have settled in over there? 2) How can I filter for only refundable tickets when on the airline's website? Look forward to your usual responses everyone. Thanks |

Hello house... I extend greetings to everyone. I need advice on how to go about this family sponsorship stuff. If one wants to sponsor a spouse, should the sponsor first apply for eligibility and when its approved, the sponsored will now apply for PR? Or are we suppose to send in the 2 applications at once? By the 2 applications, I mean the sponsorship eligibility and the application for PR... Thanks in advance to anyone who will advise. God bless... |

Good morning house. How are you all doing? Please I have a question here concerning my ADR on Accra Webform. Firstly the link sent says 404. File or directory not found. Secondly I found another link on Google and on the Enquiry part, type of application/enquiry required: select from the list it says permanent residence in Canada. Please help out, I guess it supposed to say Permanent residence outside Canada. I'm lost. Can someone please help out?

Hello guys, IRCC sent my wife the PPR mail and since she's in Canada, she immediately sent a web form to Accra VO for a virtual landing. Now, the problem is that it's been 3 weeks and we have not received any reply from IRCC yet. Please, can anyone offer guidance on how I can navigate this? @BigJohn814, @architectamaka, @Makibarbie Thanks. |

ICONEB: **A quick question** - just for clarity, maybe unrelated but please bear with us the newbies in this application process. In Spousal sponsorship visa application form Schedule A (Background/Declaration) What does this mean? *"Enter all names in English and in your native language (for example, Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, Korean or Japanese script or Chinese commercial/telegraphic code)."* Does this concern a Nigerian with a name, example *Mercy Mara Okon* Would she need to write Mercy in her native language aswell, or this one would not concern her at all. Thank you |

Probably you mistakenly selected the wrong category which is in Canada class instead of Family class. So you need to recheck the application form you filled. Oluwaseunolaita: |

Hi. It was my lawyer who made a mistake for choosing a wrong class of application. He choosed conjugal relationship instead of outland. We corrected it and resubmitted. |

Goodafternoon everyone. Please I’m in desperate need of help and ideas right now. I applied for spousal sponsorship in June 2023, My husband came back on April 2023,got married to me and travelled back to Canada…. We applied in May but our application was rejected due to some mistakes, then we reapplied in June… I’ve done biometrics,Medicals and all documentation… Was waiting for ppr, when I got an email… A procedural fairness letter…. First of all they asked me to prove my marriage the further,by adding more pictures and chats and documentation… That one is not an issue.. The main issue now is that they said I’m guilt for misrepresentation…… I never knew I made a mistake in the form…… To be honest,I filled the wrong box by mistake… In 2017,I was denied a us visiting visa… I think I wanted to go for vacation or something…. I can’t even remember why they rejected me… It was since 2017, So they asked me to prove myself,if found guilty,I will be banned for 5 years…. My marriage is still very young and the emotional turmoil of long distance sef is painful…. I consulted some consultant and she said I should look for the slip they gave me the refusal slip… I can’t find it…. But I had to search my mail and saw the application slip with the application number….. How do we go about it and honestly,we don’t have the funds for a lawyer at this moment…. Pls has any one gone through this |

For something like this you will most likely need the assistance of a legal professional. Even if you can’t hire a lawyer which are usually more expensive you can seek the services of a Trusted immigration consultant who has handled such cases. You might be taking a big risk if you decide to go ahead and reply the letter without seeking legal professional assistance. Don’t gamble with this. Kcenyimbk: |

Kcenyimbk:Hi Poster, I am sorry you are going through this and understand the implication of this on your overall mental health. The bolded is the real issue, you did not disclose the US visiting visa... The life of the Oyinbos is very simple and you have already been told why you are being tried. They view your not declaring it as misrepresentation (withholding information) which you have said it's true. You have a choice to make, 1. Claim your visa was not rejected by the USA (wrong wrong move with grave consequences since the records are there). 2. Come clean, apologise and explain that this was an honest mistake that you did not have the intention of misleading/misrepresenting. That you were probably overwhelmed by the mountain of forms and documentation that you did not notice this part and probably were burnt out filling those forms when you got to that part of the application leading to a mistake. The you follow it up with lots of begging - then hope for the best... This option is a 50/50 chance depending on your visa officer, but it seems this is the best route according to my evaluation. Hiring a lawyer is just a waste of money, you hire a lawyer when you want to dispute something not when the accusation is true, do not waste your time and money. 5 years is a long time but it will come soon enough, that's if they decide to ban you, however, you have a higher chance of being forgiven and asked to reapply if you own up and provide a long explanation stating this was an honest oversight not an attempt to mislead... Also, can you consider requesting for the application to be withdrawn so you can make a fresh application because you discovered the error/mistake. in all, i wish you the best and hope and pray that things work out fine. Please keep us posted... We will be praying for you as wel. 1 Like |
