Our Client a big printing Company located within Ikosi seeks the services of a Chief Finance Officer with the following:
• Qualification : Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Year of Experience: A minimum of 8, preferably 10, years experience.
• Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications.
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.
• Gender: Preferably Male
• Job Responsibility:
INTERNAL AUDIT & CONTROL
Designing, documenting & implementing standard procedures for company processes
 Documented Company Procedures
 Reviewing constantly to remove clogs & bottle necks
 Enforcing Implementation of Company procedures and enforcing approval levels
 Introducing adequate control processes to prevent fraud
Internal Auditing Inventory Utilization and automation of Billing processes
 Ascertaining accuracy of report generation matching inventory consumption with Sales
 Ascertaining that customers have paid for the value they obtain
 Ascertaining accuracy o f report generation before every general meeting
Verification of the custody & security of company assets
• Recommending provisions & write-offs
• Supervising & Reviewing Asset Documentations & Custody of Tangible Asset
• Review of the company production equipment life span. This is for review & planning purposes.
• Review the company sales and expenditures plan for the year 2010, including departmental budget for the year.
• Review & recommend a standard costing system for the company
• Review job costing methodology and it's underlying assumptions for adequacy.
• Review and recommend the company standard gross margin.
• Review and recommend internal control gaps found in the following store and production areas.
i. Inventory
ii. Production floors.
iii. Material usage.
PAYROLL:
 Preparation of monthly payroll and other employee benefits for all staff – permanent and temporary to achieve tax efficiency for employee and company
 Maintaining a payroll register and memorandum of vacation pay and other deductions
 Ensuring compliance with all government regulations including the remittance of all statutory taxes, levies and filings
 Preparation of annual tax returns for employees and company
 Monthly remittance of PAYE tax deductions
 Preparation of monthly employee receivable report

FIXED ASSETS CONTROL
• Monthly reconciliation of fixed assets register to General ledger: Ensuring proper treatment of retired, damaged or disposed assets and computation of depreciation
• Maintaining lease and prepayments accounts to ensure proper amortization
• Review of Fixed asset depreciation schedule for correctness
• Supervision of Fixed assets schedule and update checks
• Designing of required procedures and control of all company’s fixed assets in all branches.

EXTERNAL AUDITS & TAX CONSULTANT RELATIONS (CIT, PAYE, WHT, VAT, Development levy)
• Preparation for Audit of the company’s financials.
• Relationships with the tax consultant with regards to taxation matters.
• Minimizing company exposure while complying with statutory obligations
INSURANCE
COST BACK PROCEDURE
• Preparing a monthly cost back report which includes collating production information and analysing exactly what was used in producing each job as against what was estimated for the job at the onset of each transaction on a monthly

FINANCIAL REPORTING DELIVERABLES
Review the entry source posting into the following ledger Accounts;
i. Sales / Receivables
ii. Purchaes / Vendor
iii. Receipts & Payments
iv. Inventory & cost of sales
v. Depreciation & other charges in the Account.
Review of the company monthly Bank Reconciliation Statement

Review the Company variances as reported.

Preparation of monthly management Accounts using Pastel Evolution Software
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
2. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
3. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting, ten years of experience in senior-level finance and accounting position.
4. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
