It has been reported that over ten persons have perished in the flood that has ravaged Ahoada West, Ahoada East and Onelga local government areas of Rivers state. 

It was disclosed that aside the human lives that have been lost, lots of properties and animals have also been destroyed by the ravaging flood. 

According to the lamenting residents who are calling on the government to help them, schools have been closed down, farms flooded, agricultural activities have been on stand still as the flood continues to wreck havoc in the areas.
