Something that is not even up to 2months and you're already crying!

For him to start utilizing that money, work needed to be arranged and done.

Will he just start dolling out gratuities to account numbers of retirees without proper documents.

Why not wait a bit before u start shouting as if he's collected one before and never utilized it!
you well so? You mean he didn't prepare to pay salaries before? Or workers should wait till April next year? undecided

Is it not Amosun that's their state governor? A state where I did my service at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, with the state government promising to pay us the total state allowance they owed us after our POP... Only if they will pay today shaa... I hated him from that very day.

This is to bring to the attention of Nigerians and the people that are close to the powers that be in Ogun state that the people are waiting endlessly for the government to fulfill its promises on the recently released Paris Club refund money.
Below is the copy of how the Platformtimes newspaper reported the press conference that the state commissioners for finance and information jointly held when the fund was released to the state government from the federation's account.
There are so many questions begging for answers on this issue.
The people of the state can just appeal to the governor and his team to please expedite action on the necessary paperworks and the modalities for the release of this money to ease the suffering of the people in the state.

There is no doubt about the fact that if this money is released, ( particularly the portion that is said to have been earmarked for the payment of the backlog of workers unpaid deductions and allowances) it will impact positively on the economic activities of the state.

“Paris Fund: I will spend N7.3 billion to improve lives of Ogun people- Amosun
NEWS EDITOR / 20 SEPTEMBER 2018
The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has promised to spend N7.3billion out of N17.3 billion the last tranche of Paris club refund paid by the federal government to improve the lives of over 7.5 million Ogun residents across the state.
Amosun who added that N10 billion would be spent on backlogs of gratuity, cooperative deductions, severance and furniture allowance of its workforce.
It would be recalled that the Buhari-led administration on Wednesday released the last tranche of Paris Club of N17.3 billion to the state.
The governor through his Commissioner for Finance, Adewale Oshinowo while speaking with newsmen said the balance of N7.3 billion will be spent on social services for the benefit of the state.
Oshinowo opined that the payment of the N10 billion will boost the morale of the public service workforce and enhance its productivity.
He however maintained that Ibikunle Amosun-led administration has been consistent in paying workers’ salaries since the inception of the administration.
He said, “The governor Ibikunle Amosun has directed that N10 billionwhich represents 60 percent of the total Paris Club Refund of N17.3billion, be used for the immediate payment of the backlog of cooperative deductions, gratuity, severance and furniture allowance of its workforce.
"This is in line with the commitment of the Ibikunle-led administration to the welfare of workers. While N10billion is to be expended on the workforce, the balance of N7.3 billion will go into social services for the benefit of the entire 7.5 million indigenes of the state.
“The Ibikunle Amosun administration as you all know is worker-friendly. This informed its decision to increase the salaries of workers in 2012 which doubted our monthly wage bill. It is a testament to the value this government places on its workforce that it pays the highest salaries in the entire federation.”

My mum discussed ds with me on Saturday, that man decided not use the money as stated because the successor he chose was declined. He is owing gratuity and pension funds for like 4 years. Abandoned projects everywhere. In short, he is a bad fellow

We have been to this of "Orokunle " house full of deceits for a while. Amosu emerging as a Ogun state Governor was as a result of circumstances if we don't forget.
He has grossly messed up the Gate way state . Rubbishing the structure he stands on. Doing eye service to Buhari to cover up. Now is crying for successor. He fails to realize that is what you plant that you reap. A good Governor that are in heart of his people, people don't toy with him. Is opinion is respected by his party decision. Here you are now, in midst of foes.
The sympathy he ought to enjoy he scuttles it. By refusing to fulfill his promises as his usual practice. History shall not forget you that you are a sectional Governor for Egba.

u no well! U no dey read? Ogun state is not owing workers their basic salary... We're talking of gratuities and deductions here.

Stop this abusive and ignorant comment and let me educate you.

Deductions forms part of workers salaries that are being deducted monthly for onward transfer to their cooperative societies and unions.

Its deducted from the salary based on the instructions of the worker in order to service loans taken from the worker's cooperative societies or unions.

Sometimes, it may also be that such workers may want to save some of their salaries for the raining day with the cooperative, so in this case its called savings.

Head or tail, the government can't say it has paid salaries of workers if some fraction of it is seized for months without being paid.

So if the government tells you that they are not owing workers salaries, don't take that to the truth.

The most embarrassing and annoying thing is that, if you have finished servicing your loan with the cooperative and you want to stop further deduction of money from your salary they will tell you its not possible based on the instructions of the governor.

That is what is obtainable here in Ogun state and everybody knows.

May God help us.
