So i'm about to buy a Nigeria used car, the car is a 2009 Toyota corolla manufactured in South Africa. the seller says the car doesn't have custom paper because it was manufactured in south Africa. Please how true is this?

About all Corollas 2008 up manufactured in SA came into the country as brandnew for globe motors or Elizade. These sets of cars come in batches with inventory/batch like custom paper given to the company for the car batches they receive. They don’t give this general custom paper to individuals bt they give u a purchase receipt and other papers so anyone who see the car was purchased from elizade or globe motors knows they paid customs duty by default when the car came into the country as brandnew via a major distributor/dealership

What u shud ask is if the car was bought brandnew or Toks and the documents to show which which major toyota dealerships(elizade/globe) brought it in. Then u have no problem.
