A Slave To The Arse by LifeofEl(m): 12:38pm On Oct 14, 2018 |
Two round butt on each side Firm and enticing One gander at it and all is lost You become another being Time and money becomes a thing Just for a taste In the field of desire, the gateway to where Delilah calleth Woe to the thousands who hear the call For her you do anything and everything Like a lonely puppy in need of affection All for two cheeks, you lose everything on it Just for a taste You always come back to where it all began The middle of the thigh that changeth destiny The honey pot they call it Both parties in need of something A one sided lust in the tale of the arse Seeking favour of an inevitable sand The arse with it's fame The arse speaks and you keep quiet You deny all when it calleth Losing yourself in the tale Just don't get lost, it is hard to get back In the tale of the arse. Could the author please help demystify the lines? An analysis to help reveal its inner meanings? Much as I like to pay attention to poems, I think poets have an extra task of analysing their works for optimum communication of their ideas |

Let me make justification to its meaning, I realised some people don't really love poems! I'm a great fan of poetic elements. See reading poems makes you understand life in a different form! ... well, least I should talk about this. Here, the poem is talking about the *Lust* of the male gender towards the female gender and yes, he used the word 'arse' to describe the female gender. So let us all agree that part of the Lust is centred around the female's waist towards the leg! I can't but admit the fact that Nairaland Moderators are so intelligent to have brought this calibre poem on the front page!
A very firm 'two round butt' of a female cannot but entice a young man, well of course good part of the older men too. some even get sexually awoken without seeing the 'butt' bearer's face)! 'One gander at it and all is lost You become another being' You cant but admit that a glance at the good butt can make driver lose his driving license! Your LUST part if you immediately takes over hence 'you become another being'
The poet tries to explain how money and time is been lost by men who lust after females 'just for a taste'! He further likened the female as the 'field of desires' for every man who lust after having sex with, he then asked a rhetorical question.... the gateway to where( I see he wouldn't want to attach a religious sentiment) Delilah calleth Woe to the thousands who hear the call 'Delilah calleth' Delilah here means 'death', every lust yet, woe to as many who wants it delilah is a woman potrayed in the bible as the Achilles heels of the powerful Samson! Of course she caused Samson his power and his life on a combo!
Here the poet tries to explain why every man who lust after sexual escapades with with ladies will end up doing 'anything and everything' for her. The poet further explained how a man who wants to get the attention of a woman would do everything just to appear good and acceptable to her! The poet wants us to understand by likening the man to a puppy in need of love and could play with everybody! 'All for two cheeks', cheeks here is still referred to the the butt! It looks so much like the face cheek, doesn't it?
We all understand that life starts in between the legs of our mothers, yet he explained what the place does to a man who lusts after it that it changes destiny! He uses the poular word it is called 'Honey pot' The first party here is the man who needs sex in return for money his money and time, the woman is the second party who wants..... Here the poet tries to explain why the lust of woman is just all in vain. We all agree that the who big and small butts are nothing but foods to worms when we finally get into the ground! As notorious as the 'arse' is, when the a lady ask his suitor to keep quiet, they does that without much ado, just because they haven't gotten the taste yet!
The funny thing about life is thay whenever we are about taking a wrong step, we still all get the conscience that speaks a lot to us and yet most people would feign ignorance to it and thereby 'losing the mind and reasoning to its tale'. The poet wants us to understand why it is hard to get back when we are truly lost into the dilemma that 'arse' causes! Infact some are even dead or forgotten in the prison, some not for what they are guilty of! So many tale of what 'arse' has done to people. Yes, so many untold stories!
