A robber identified as 26-year-old Tunde Okunola, has been rearrested 5 days after regaining his freedom following his imprisonment at Ikoyi Prison. The robber was rearrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, alongside an accomplice identified as 27-year-old Segun Adigun while trying to rob one Gift Omini at around 4;45 a.m on Wednesday at Marwa Roundabout, Lekki.

The suspect who spent six months and two weeks in Ikoyi prison before regaining freedom, pleaded with the police, disclosing that he is a trained barber and was looking for funds to start up his business in Lagos.

Okunola, who was released from Ikoyi Prison, on Friday, October 5, 2018, added that if released, “I will never step into Lagos again”. The robbery victim, Gift Omini however told the police that the suspects who were riding a bike, used a short axe to dispossess her of a mobile phone.
