Ambode might think he's being an 'obedient' governor and party loyalist, but history will not judge him kindly for chickening out at an opportune time when he could have come out from below the shadow of an emperor and make a name and history for himself!

See him grinning sheepishly with a plastic smile beside his usurpers and oppressors like the Sanwo guy, Fashola and Tinubu. Probably he didn't read the constitution to know the powers he still has as an exec governor. Wield it to the fullest and put all of these pretenders in their places, even if it's for the next 6 months!

For people who may not have realised it. The real "offense" of Ambode was discontinuing the PSP arrangement. Unknown to him, PSP contractors were not regular, professional entrepreneurs. They were party men at the grassroots that were compensated with juicy PSP contracts by Fashola. They are the foot soldiers of Tinubu and the ones often referred to as Tinubu having a firm party structure down to the ward level.

Ambode didn't understand that part of politics and disengaged them in favour of a professional firm without any political affiliations. The PSP contractors moblized and gave Tinubu an ultimatum for their continued support. The rest of the noise about performance and blah, blah,blah were just propaganda to "sell" their agenda to the public and make it believable.

Lagos has simply been colonized, held at the jugular by political profiteers. The sad thing is that Agbaje is not serious, otherwise we would have helped him FOC. It's not a really difficult thing to overthrow the current tyranny in the state.

Why can't they just allow him exhaust his tenure?

Na lagosians should open to their eyes because a scenerio where a sitting is useless because of another sitting governor in Bourdillon, lagosians will end up living for that family as they control them and their wealth.

This is soooo true... I know a family friend who had a part in this PSP deal... They will go 3 rounds and say they did 10... Ambode himself didn't really do well during his tenure.. I am sure he has shares in visionscape

They are taking this decision now because they know that he is not coming back to that seat again

It is highly ridiculous for the Speaker to say this, a company that has operated almost close to a year. This is all political, Ambode is now public enemy number 1 in Lagos. I can categorically say that if Ambode had secured a 2nd term ticket on APC's platform, no one in the house would have raised an eyebrow to it.

But with primaries over and they haven secured tickets to re-contest, suddenly they awake from their slumber? Was there glue or chewing gum in their eyes before that they didn't see the level of dirt/filth in Lagos?
