Am here to pick your brains on how we can implement some existing technology in electricity and also position our country for exponential technology in this area. Just a little background, I got exposed to some products recently that could provide green stand alone off grid electricity for developing world. One of such product is a biomass generator, a box really that you feed in cow dung or any other 's, t' for that matter and it generates electricity. This machine could power a school at night and costs about $2K (USD) when mass produced.
I think this can be deployed in the North of 9ja as they have a lot of cattle etc. Now this project cannot be an 'aid' project as people will not maintain the machines but it might be too expensive for the poor to buy on their own. Any ideas on how to scale this? To get it into the hands of people and make it useable? It is being used right now extensively in Bangladesh.
