The A LEVEL PROGRAM (IJMB) is an Advanced Level program supervised, run and moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, which allow successful students to get admissions into 200L of any Nigerian university of their choice. Normally, is supposed to be 12 months program, but since students are not going to resumed at the same time, hence we have students who only ended spending between 10 months and 9 months throughout the program.

The A LEVEL PROGRAM (IJMB) is a federal government approved program of 9 month moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is designed to solve problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria University instead of JAMB.

The examination is conducted in the first-quarter of every year, while the results is released in due time for admission processing. Interested Candidate are expected to select any THREE (3) A LEVEL SUBJECTS related to their course of study From:

1.Physics, Chemistry, biology, Mathematics & Geography for SCIENCE CANDIDATES

2. Economics, Business management, Accounts, Government, Sociology, CRS/IRS, Literature for ARTS/SOCIAL SCIENCE/HUMATIES CANDIDATES.

On completion of the programme, successful candidates can use their result to gain admission into 200 level in any Nigeria university through direct entry. When admission begins in September/October, they are then shortlisted for admission into their chosen institution.

Most candidate who failed either in jamb or post ume in the past always do this program and most of them get admission into 200level and meet their colleagues in 200 level. The good news is that a lot of people are entering into the university via IJMB program directly into 200 level because of its relevance.

The A LEVEL PROGRAM (IJMB) allows you to choose three courses/subjects that are related to what you want to study in the university of your choice.

*WHAT YOU NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE WRITING YOUR NEXT JAMB*

Every year, about 1.8 million Nigerian students apply for university admission through UTME. Sadly, only a few percentage of them eventually gain admission into higher institutions. The truth is, your chance of gaining admission does not rest on the strength of your UTME score alone, this is very clear, such is the case of Aror Oghenerukewve, who scored 320 in her JAMB (2016) and still could not secure admission into OAU and many other Universities. To guarantee your chances of admission, you should consider a lot more.
Here are four things facts you need to know:

*1. UTME IS NOT THE ONLY EXAM YOU CAN WRITE IN ORDER TO GAIN ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY*: Sadly enough, this is the major truth that many prospective students do not know. Yearly, over 1,800,000 applicants try to squeeze their way into various institutions because that’s the only way they know of. The lucky ones with the appropriate information easily apply to the university through A’levels (IJMB, JUPEB and CAMBRIDGE). About 1.8 million uninformed students hassle hard to secure the tight available spaces, and less than 18,000 informed students apply through A’levels. See the difference.

2. *A DEFICIENCY IN O’LEVEL SHOULD NOT STOP YOU*: A deficiency in mathematics or English will definitely not give you a free ride into the university because no public university in Nigeria accepts awaiting results anymore. With a deficiency in your O’levels however, you can proceed to apply for A’level programmes (preferably IJMB) and try to rewrite your O’level before the beginning of the next admission session. I didn’t gain admission in the year 2011 because of a deficiency in mathematics, I then took WAEC GCE and I applied through A’level the following year. 3. *THAT YOU CAN WRITE BOTH JAMB AND A’LEVELS*: I have received several calls from many of my “juniors” in the programme who always trouble me by asking which of the (multiple) admissions they should accept. The possibility of asking whether you should go for 100L medicine or 200L pharmacy is only available when you go through IJMB. This is because you can write both UTME and A LEVEL. Also, you can apply to different Universities (More than one) with your IJMB result afterwards.

*4*. You don't need to compulsorily write UTME again before you gain admission with A Level. It's over for Jamb.
