In fact Kalu should be charged with: disobeying court order, treason, incitement of violence, acquisition of wealth under false pretence and possession of illegal fire arms. He should take a clue from Catalonia in Spain and Scotland in UK on how to fight for freedom. |

sapoyoro:^^^^ ^^^^ @sapoyoro You are right! I read Pa Olola Kasumu of the Afonja lineage in the late 1990s refering to Tunde Idiagbons heritage as that of cattle Fulani. I nearly fell off my chair when I read that because I thought he was of pure Yoruba lineage. Tunde Idiagbon is of maternal and paternal Fulani heritage but he also has mixed Yoruba ancestry along the line and they have become Yorubanised because Ilorin is essentially of over 90% Yoruba ancestry and Yoruba language is the lingua franca of Ilorin. I would call Tunde Idiagbon a Yoruba-Fulani [or Yorubanised]. Infact the British had suggested an Oba for the Yoruba in Ilorin but it was never implemented till they left in 1960, but they increased representation for Yorubas who are the owners of Ilorin. The British even stated in their historical documents in books and archives as confirmed by Sir Allan Burns, the Governor General of Nigeria that ILORIN IS A YORUBA TOWN and it is was [as of the 1920s] one of the top 11 most populous towns in Nigeria. 10 of the 11 towns mentioned by him as the most populous were Yoruba towns. Kano was the ONLY NON Yoruba town among the top 11 towns mentioned. This information is in the very popular "History of Nigeria by Sir Allan Burns." Tunde Idiagbon's first son bears the name Adekunle Idiagbon as well so they are Yorubanised. Below are images from the burial of Tunde Idiagbon in 1999. Babatunde "Tunde" Abdulbaki Idiagbon [14 September 1943 – 24 March 1999]. Early life Idiagbon was born into the family of his father Hassan Dogo and mother Ayisatu Iyabeji Hassan Idiagbon on 14 September 1943 in Ilorin, Kwara State.[1] He attended United Primary School, Ilorin from 1950 to 1952 and Okesuna Senior Primary School, Ilorin, 1953–57. He received his secondary education at the Nigeria Military School, Zaria between 1958 and 62. Personal life On 6 March 1970, Idiagbon married Biodun Idiagbon (née Gamra). They had two sons and three daughters together: Adekunle, Junior, Ronke, Mope and Bola.[2] Read More Here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunde_Idiagbon 1 Like 1 Share

Ioannes: You guys call the first Repulic coup Igbo coups but Nzeogwu that planned and carried out the coup is from Niger Delta, a place you people said that it has no Igbos. Ojukwu just wake up and start fighting civil war abi . Marginalization of Igbos is what is causing recent agitations from the SE/SS, inclusive government should be involve to solve this. |

[quote author=Odingo1 post=72338151] You guys call the first Repulic coup Igbo coups but Nzeogwu that planned and carried out the coup is from Niger Delta, a place you people said that it has no Igbos. Is Nzeogwu an Igbo name or not?
Awolowo cautioned the overambitious soldier boy called Ojukwu to seek the path of dialogue. If only he had heeded the words of the Sage maybe today younger generations of Igbo won't be screaming "give us Biafra". Marginalization of Igbos is what is causing recent agitations from the SE/SS, inclusive government should be involve to solve this. What marginalization? Mention the ways Igbos are marginalized in Nigeria. 1. Aren't your states collecting monthly FG allocations? 2. Are there Federal Universities and Secondary schools in the east or not? 3. Are your towns connected to the national power grid or not? 4. Do you have federal highways passing through the east like all other zones in the country? 5. Are there federal teaching hospitals in the east or not? 6. Do you have federal orthopedic hospitals in the east or not? 7. Whenever you want to travel from the east to other parts of the country, are you barred from traveling? 8. Do you have federal secretariats in the east or not? 9. Do you have state police commands in the east or not? 10. Are ministers chosen who have eastern origin or not? 11. Do you have state and Federal lawmakers representing you in the east or not? 12. Are you guys from the east included in political decisions in Nigeria or not? 13. Are you prevented from obtaining the country's international passport or not? 14. Are you barred from taking part in the nation's socio-economic and political life or not? 15. Has your eastern region produced a PRESIDENT for this country or not? 16. Has your eastern region produced a vice President for this country or not? 17. Has your eastern region produced a Senate President for this country or not? 18. Has you eastern region produced a deupty Senate President for this country or not? 19. Does the Nigerian Judiciary have Igbo judges appointed to the bench or not? 20. Have there been Inspector general of Police of Igbo origin or not? From the foregoing and your own assertions that I quoted, it is true indeed that IBO probably means I Before Others. If you weren't selfish and mean you guys would never utter the word "marginalization" at all. The way you guys go on one would think you are the only ethnic group in Nigeria. |
