Our attention has been drawn to a press release by a faceless group claiming to represent northern youths. They are urging the presidential candidate of the PDP to disassociate himself from Chief Femi Fani-Kayode for whatever reason they conjured out of the figment of their own imagination..
It is clear from the tone of the press statement issued by these faceless people that the PMB campaign is imploding. Right now they are quaking in their booths because of the tremendous support that Alhaji Atiku is getting across the nation; and in their desperation have concocted this plan hoping to sow seeds of discord within the PDP.
We...... Want to state very unequivocally that Atiku has the support of both the Northern and Southern parts of this country. Nigerians are tired of the hunger and terror this administration has unleashed on them. Many who supported PMB have since realized that all he had were empty promises. So, for anyone to say Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would lose the support of people from the Northern and South Western parts of the country is the height of absurdly. If polititics is a game of numbers why would your genuine supporters ask you to exorcise a part of your support base? This is reminiscent of the politics of 97% and 5% Which PMB is very good at. Do these people think Atiku should operate like PMB?
How would a group that claims to support Atiku also demand he alienates the Southeast and Southwest? Like the Americans will say, FOLLOW THE MONEY. Meaning who stands to gain? Question is, with the support Chief Femi Fani-Kayode enjoys across the country as a man renowned for speaking for the voiceless and oppressed, who stands to gain if Atiku disassociates with him? The answer is very obvious. PMB GAINS. It's clear to the deaf, the dumb and the blind that this so called group is a PMB group.
Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has proven to be a dogged fighter. Braving PMB's gulag to express bitter truth to power. He could have acted like many who joined the APC bandwagon out of fear and compromise but he chose to stay on the side of truth. He has shown that his is a detribalized Nigerian ready to fight for the oppressed regardless of ethnicity and gender. Is this his mortal sin according to this faceless group?
Chief Fani-Kayode stood with the people of the Middle belt. He stood with the Muslim Shiites even though he is a Christian. He stood against the Yoruba killings in Sabo, Osun State. He stood tall against the senseless mass murders in Benue, Plateau, Adamawa, Nassarawa, Taraba.
We want to make it categorically clear that it would be a huge mistake if the Atiku campaign organization should listen to the PMB moles by excluding FFK. An ill advised move like that will bring a total shutdown of his support in the Southern region. Exactly what PMB and his moles want.
The Atiku will have to decide who to believe: Those who are working for his opponent or his true supporters; whether to believe the voice of reason or some faceless northern youth groups without a base anywhere!
