314 What is a Build Number ? A build Number is a _Unique identifier used for the delivery (through batches) of android updates and also an specific identity of a phone . How to Identify the Numbers in a Build Number ( Nougat and Oreo ). There are usually 4 sections. The first part represent the Phone Model - X572 is synonymous with Note 4 X571 - Note 4 pro etc The second part represent what I will call the Batch - This varies with phones . Mine is H5213AD - the beginning 5 characters are the same for all phones of the same model , now what differentiates them is the letter immediately after the 5 characters . This letters ( sometimes it may be 1) represents the batches that is why some people can receive updates today while some will receive updates next tomorrow . The third part represents the android version Mine is - O for Oreo N - Nougat etc There is another part that signifies the country especially for India ( IN ) The final part is the date and the version The format is YYMMDD - Mine is 180810 while the version is usually starts with a V - version and the version number . . . http://www.infinix.club/ng/forum/352/762311
