Lawan Faro, who resides in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, has sworn to commit suicide if President Buhari fails to resign within the next 12 hours. The middle-aged man, climbed a 40-metre-tall billboard hanger and has threatened to jump down to his death if President Buhari does not resign.


In an interview with Sahara Reporters, Lawan said the poverty rate in Nigeria has increased since Buhari came into power and that he will only come down if PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar gives him an assurance that he would take over from President Buhari come 2019.
