Yeah, it's a little risky considering OfferUp buyer's protection is not well known. To mitigate this risk, I will make a video recording showing the package, the unboxing and inspection. If any issues arise, I will use the video recording as evidence for claims and disputes.

The protection covers item worth up to $500, therefore no shipping for item worth more than $500. You negotiate the cost and who is responsible for shipping with the seller. All the cost of the transaction is between you and the seller. My job is limited to receiving, inspecting and filing claims with video evidence if item is not true to description. You, the buyer, is responsible for all fees, and a refund will be issued ONLY if OfferUp resolves the claim in your favor and refunds the money.
