If you have been in Nigeria for the past few years you will agree with me that Nigerians goes through a lot of stress and trouble on daily basis.

This could be generally attributed to the poor leadership style of the politicians in power.

In Nigeria today, an average Nigerian go through a lot of troubles and stress just to earn a living or to make ends meet.
These are some of the very few troubles Nigerians pass through;

The Unending List of Troubles Nigerians Go Through Daily

Lack of basic amenities

For most of us, we have resigned to our fate. We have conditioned our minds to live with what is available to us in the country.
For a majority of Nigerians, getting access to basic amenities like health care, good road network, schools, pipe borne water and power supply is impossible.
Some have resorted to praying just to get the necessary authorities to do the needful.
Constant harassment and extortion by security personnel

Innocent Nigerians cannot go about their business with suffering one form of harassment or extortion from the so-called security personnel that is supposed to be protecting us.
You can hardly travel from one state to another with meeting policemen on the way all in the name of security checkpoints.

These checkpoints are mostly 5 to 10 minutes apart from one another and they all expect you to drop “something for the boys”.

High cost of commodities

This one obviously has come to stay. Things continue to increase in price every day with no hope of coming down.

Even though the purchasing power of the people has remained the same, the general price of daily needs and commodities seems to be skyrocketing daily.
Greedy individuals and opportunists

Funny enough, a lot of us fall within this category. These are the people who choose and derives joy in making lives difficult for their fellow countrymen. They seize every opportunity to indiscriminately hike the price of commodities, request for a bribe to do their job, sell fake products, steal, cheat etc.

Bad roads

I need to talk about this particular challenge as a standalone issue. Bad roads in Nigeria is no doubt a major nightmare to both the young and old. The effects of bad roads on the lives of Nigerians for me can never be quantified or measured, bad roads have led to the loss of many lives, for some, it has left them incapacitated.

Bureaucracy and cumbersome processes

Bureaucracy and cumbersome way of doing things in Nigeria can be so frustrating. A simple process like registering for your PVC (permanent voters’ card) can be made to seem so difficult by the responsible officials.

One of the reasons most Nigerians do not have things like national ID, drivers license, an international passport is mainly because you will be subjected to complicated and discouraging processes before achieving your goal especially when are not ready to part with some tips
