Please can you imagine what this groundnut civil society group is saying? Paying workers more than that amount will lead to inflation but people like Gandollers and other thieving political crooks have been stealing and cornering money meant for projects yet we have not experienced any type of inflation since. Rubbish asslicking slobs.

Story. When have you seen the prices of commodities come now in Nigeria? Let me tell you if govs are ready to forsake their corrupt minds, they can pay the 30k.
I keep on saying, there is no governor that is in office for 4 good years without being a billionaire. Where do they get the money?.

This is the simple truth.

If we're all reasonable, we would realize that salary increment is not what we need now but for infrastructure to be fixed, sound economy and low commodities prices.

At ₦18,000 more than 25 Governors out of 36 owed workers, cos they couldn't afford it with revenue drop. Why would anyone think when you increase, they would be able to pay?

Yoruba says owó tí kò sí, jedi jẹdi ọ lè gbà. Not even stomach upset can take the money that's non existent
Even at ₦18,000 if dollar exchange to ₦ is back to below ₦200, there's constant electricity, purchasing power automatically goes up.

Prices are high, you increase salaries, the sellers automatically adjusts their products prices immediately to benefit from the more money in circulation.

Only employers of Labour and sound economists would understand
Only sound economist like yourself will understand right? When the economy nosedived and Nigeria entered a painful recession that the effect is still visible in terms of general prices. Sound economist like you no show face o... Now tell me a bag of rice is 18k or more than minimum wage is 18k use your head is a responsible goverment not suppose to find a way to increase the purchasing power of Nigerians.
A group of economic managers that have failed to effectively drag Nigerians out of the challenges of an economy in recession you say should not increase the minimum wage of a country with one of the least payed work force in the world?
If you can't control prices that is continuously skyrocketing. Why not place more cash in the hands of the populace to prepare them for the fight ahead.

but seriously I'm highly disappointed. why is it that whenever the NLC is asking for an increment then inflation saga always become the song. please let us be realistic. If it were to be that of one of the arms of government, we won't be hearing all this. Mind you, truly state government ain't paying as per the recent issues around but ain't this top people getting paid. and if I may ask, the work burden of this country falls on who so what's the problem..I don't really understand what is wrong with this nation

either I read it or not. when there is no inflation what improvement does it add to welfare of workers and Nigerians?

the truth is this inflation of a things shouldn't be an excuse not to increase their salaries as most workers in the rural area use farming as support to their well being

when Kogi and Benue workers didn't receive salaries, ekiti and Abia. how do you think those people were surviving? telling me about one nonsense book that has no revelation in the wellbeing of Nigeria workers and Nigerians

I stand to my earlier submission. FG should increase workers salaries and stop using one inflation as an excuse

If you understood how the economy worked, you wouldn't type this thing. The increament will make no sense if it will cause an inflation. Your 30k minimum wage could worth 10k

Why are this people so daft like this, saying #1000 to feed a family per day will cause inflation in the country is rubbish, Is it deflation the outrageous figures our senators earn causing the nation, they earn the best pay in the world and workers wages one of the worst pay in the world. You see them shouting so so so amount will cause inflation and begging to avert strike for the sake of this nation but never for once address what this political class earn... Imagine a graduate that cannot earn #40000 in a month while just a councillor earn over #250000 monthly and the wife #50000 monthly in this our country... I pity this our country and all so called leaders calling on the labour leaders to accept the #22500 proposal. When they say burden of salary payment lies on the state government, so what are they doing with the monthly allocation. God bless my state... God bless my country, NIGERIA.

A situation whereby people in power refuse to reduce their salary definitely, there's no way we citizens of this country can live without inflation and federal government too should realize the consequence of NLC strike and how it can affect our country particular our economy.

Govt can't bring down prices of goods if they country do not produce enough. And even when they do, prices will always be high unless it's easy to transport them from one location to another.

So you need to produce enough and you need good transportation. Roads transportation are not enough for goods to be low. You need rails way, it's cheaper, faster and saves time.

The point is, govt can't just make decrees or laws to force price down, th market does it. The only thing govt can do it create an environment for local production, discourages importation and most importantly, infrastructure, railways
is d increase in the minimum wage, will it cos inflation

Already, there is inflation, so how can you cause what it already there. inflation in Nigeria stands at 11.28 percent in September. What that means is that every year, if the inflation stands at that rate, prices if goods and services will increase by 11.28%. This means if an item was 100 naira last year, next year, it will be 111.28 (about that price) or as it is done by most people, the price will stay same by the quantity or quality will reduce to the current price.

I must admit, there has been a steady decline on inflation rate, but to get to where we are going is still a far cry, it will take a serious sustained effort by the govt and can take up to 10 years from now.

Inflation is always going to be there. Increase in minimum wage is a way to assist the masses as each year, the purchasing power of the naira reduces.

Bottom line, don't mind those people and don't always believe the govt. They main work is to deceive the masses in what is called propaganda.

What is the meaning of this nonsense! It's has now gotten to a point where it's anti-democratic for workers to demand for a pay raise above the meagre salary they collect that can't even feed them for a month let alone Cater for other needs, but patriotic and democratic when our so called leaders loot our present, siphon our future, gallivant around the world buying choice properties. it will never be well with the enemies of NIGERIA. Buhari made a ludicrous attempt to run for second term.

It's finished!

Look up presidential aspirant, Sowore. This man is actually making sense but Nigerians, Lord forgive them. They're so blind!
