Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has approved N33,000 as minimum wage for all staff in his conglomerate.

Mohammed El-Yakub, Managing Director of Gotel Communications, Atiku's media outfit based in Yola, confirmed this to SaharaReporters on Thursday, saying “the N33,000 new salary scale, which takes effect from November 2018, includes domestic servants and all categories of workers on the former VP's payroll.

El-Yakub said over 100,000 people are currently drawing salary on a monthly basis from the former Vice President.

Following the recommendation of N30,000 as minimum wage by the tripartite committee set up by the Federal Government, Atiku had urged President Muhammadu Buhari to endorse the figure.

How can that be? He claims he make less than a billion in profits in a whole year but is parading a annual wage bill of around N40 Billion. Serious lies.

yeah, everybody must not understand the narrative. his personal income is different from his company income. he declared his person income tax, moreover, PAYE is being deducted from each staff.

I want Atiku to defeat that nepotic, monumental failure of a dullard and send him back to his cows in Daura, but this is too cheap, cunning and scammish in outlook.
If he could pay this amount as minimum wage, why did he have to lay off workers in his private radio station?
He has got a minus one for me with this his cheap gimmick.
The dullard must go,but Atiku must not succumb to cheap, unsustainable gimmicks to achieve that.

The way Atiku is desperate for power is a clear sign that Nigerians should desist from such desperation as it is glaring that he is only desperate for his selfish interest and not to render selfless service
