The Nigerian Air Force said the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Lafiya Dole has murdered a few Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) in air strikes it directed at Talala in Borno.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information who revealed this on Saturday in Abuja, said the task was done on Friday.

Daramola said the activity was done after valid knowledge reports that BHTs seemed to have migrated a portion of their contenders from the edges of Lake Chad in Northern Borno to set up new camps along the Talala-Ajigin-Buk hub of the state.

"Arrangement of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance missions affirmed the nearness of critical number of BHT warriors dwelling in improvised safe houses, disguised under thick vegetation on the edges of Talala.

"Thus, ATF dispatched two Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet airplane to assault the Camp in numerous waves, prompting demolition of a portion of the structures and slaughtering of a few BHTs,'' he said.
