I think it depends on what you are comfortable with, have you taken exams on a computer before? Will you feel more comfortable with a computer or with paper? I have not seen any particular advantage the CBT has over the PBT in terms of scores so I guess it comes down to personal preference. However this is just my personal opinion, I have never tried the CBT so you may need to hear from those who have.

I did both PBT & CBT. If you re good at typing ( not necessarily typist skill level); i will say go with CBT. It is so much easier to re-arrange your paragraphs, move some sentences around, and tweak your essays if typed as compared to cleaning with eraser.

In addition, i found thé Reading CBT easier. There's minimal fear of loosing marks due to not obeying instructions. For example, some questions say choose A, B or C. Exam tension may make you write out thé answer in PBT( I know this cos it happened to me) For CBT, na to just click correct alphabet o. You can also just copy thé answer from thé passage and paste in thé given space ( risk of spelling errors eliminated)

Finally, the fact that you get to do thé Speaking component on thé same day is the icing on thé cake

Not even like on thesame day but the time interval after the Listening, reading and writing test is not much at all.

From the online registration, its like the speaking is taken few minutes or hrs before the normal test...

Anyways thanks for the info tho

How about your Reading module?Didn't you have to be scrolling up and down reading the passage and the questions intermittently?

I feel this might waste one's time overall and affect composure. Or were you given the passages in booklets with the questions on screen?

That's a major factor holding me back from doing CBT. Please clarify.

Help !!

If I delete one of my work experience after submitting my cic profile before receiving ITA, will it be known to the officer/CIC that will treat my application?

The reason for doing this is because I just found out that I won’t be able to get the reference letter even though it won’t affect my points.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by Topsmamen: 12:26pm On Feb 15, 2019
No, it won't affect anything. You can always make changes to your profile before ITA. If you are sure it won't affect your points, then go right ahead.

After 12 weeks and 4 days, I'm in the penultimate stage of my ECA with CES.

People like us that did IELTS before ECA, this wait is killing. 4 months post-IELTS, I can't wait for draw soup.

Sorry o, I'm just seeing your message. Tell your school to write your name and your ECA ref number in the subject of the mail, ICES will then use that number to match it to your file.

Thank you. i'm searching for the ices email address for my school to send my transcript.

The one we used failed. please assist.

If you sit for LWR in thé morning session, then your Speaking will be in thé afternoon session.

When i sat for the CBT, about 7 of us were slated to begin LWR at 9am. While we were in the Computer room (The test was 2hrs 45mins) another batch were having their Speaking test.

When we finished our LWR, we went back to the waiting room and when those who had Speaking in thé morning session started their LWR, we also started our speaking test.

So, the Speaking is basically few hours before or after the LWR depending on if you re having LWR during thé morning session or afternoon session. Speaking is not more than 15minutes, at most 18 minutes if you re thé chatty type.

The screens are quite big. It may be up to 25inches ( not really sure of the screen size, but it is bigger than your average laptop screen. I know it is bigger than my 17inches laptop, whereas most laptop screen is 14inches or thereabouts)

The large screen makes it accomodate more words. You can also adjust thé word size, hence thé screen will contain more words. For me, this eliminated thé need to scroll up and down thé screen

You Will be given a sheet of paper with your login details for each section of thé LWR. You can make notes on this paper, if you like but it Will collected at thé end of each section. No question paper.

ECA : May 2017 for me, July 2018 for spouse

IELTS: May 2017 for me, August 2018 for spouse (on the 6th attempt)

ITA : Aug 22
AOR: September 27
MEP: Oct 26
Update for baby: Nov 8
PPR: February 12 dated 11

VO: Ottawa

I was in the pool for one year with a CRS score of 432...... August 2nd.
Long story short I waited and waited and waited.....till my profile expired August 2 2018....

I didn’t have enough to be the PA, my husband did but getting his ECA done and acing IELTS was a mountain....

My husband had done his MBA at Lautech, but getting his transcript to WES was war as a result of the long strike action of the university.
The university was on strike literally all through 2017!

Eventually sometime at the beginning of 2018, they resumed and it took us another 6 months to finish WES evaluation thanks to those who stepped in for us.
Finally ECA was completed in July 2018.

So now, he has his MBA, fantastic! But there is the Ielts hurdle to jump....
Reason is within 2017 to 2018, he had already written ielts 5 times and has given up on it... he would get an overall score of 8 with writing being 6.5 in all 5 instances.

He told me at that point that he is no longer interested but when the ECA finally came through in July, we both had our hope renewed

So on that fateful day in July 2018, I started begging him to take it one last time

He grudgingly accepted, I prayed so much that it was really the last IELTS....

The earliest date available was in 2 days with MOD.. Again, he refused to study that he had been studying for past ones and failing it .... at the point I could only hope for the best..
Long story short...... he got max score for LSRW! On the 6th attempt! What! I was screaming and jumping around
CRS 479!

Fast forward to August 22nd ! ITA

A special thanks to @DonTee07 for answering my questions... may God perfect yours
