Got some new weave hair extensions and have no idea what to do before installing? The answer is: Wash them! You should always do this before installing to make sure the hair is clean and has a natural state. Some people may prefer to co-wash the hair to provide it with moisture, shine & softness. Co-washing is the act of washing your hair solely with conditioner and cut down the use of shampoo.

STEP ONE
Firstly, you will need to mix half a cup of warm water with a tablespoon of shampoo. You are advised to use dry shampoo, which will intensely moisturize and nourish your hair extensions, and protect the hair while cleansing.

STEP TWO
Next, prepare a stain- resistant bow or sink and fill it with warm water and diluted shampoo together. Your weave hair need to be brushed before washing to remove any tangles beforehand, and this is a very important step. To do this, you can use a comb and gently comb starting from the bottom to the top of the extension. To wash your hair, gently put them into the water prepared earlier, and remember not to cleanse for more than ten minutes. Don't try to swirl your hair around if you don't want to turn it into a mess.

STEP THREE
After washing with shampoo water, take your hair extensions out of the water. Put them right under a running tap and let the water rinse away the shampoo to fully wash your hair extensions. The more hair you have, the longer this step should take.

STEP FOUR
Once you have finished rinsing your hair extensions, you'll need to squeeze out any excess water from them. Don't actually roll them up with towels and "Squeeze" them! Instead, laying them on a dry towel in a clean, flat surface then apply a good conditioning treatment to the extensions. The purpose is to provide your hair extensions with moisture. After applying treatment, fold your hair extensions into a clean, dry towel and leave them for one hour. Then finally rinse them out with clean water again.

STEP FIVE
When you’ve applied and rinsed out the conditioner, fold your clip-ins up in a clean towel and leave them to dry naturally overnight. Remember, it's very important to make sure your hair is dried thoroughly. A wet weave hair will has a great chance of catching mold - leading to leave bad smells on it.

STEP SIX
Again, check back your weave hair extensions to make sure it is dry. Comb or brush your hair gently from the bottom up to the top.

STEP SEVEN
Remember to replace your weave with new ones over time. You should better have a schedule for this, because this won't cost much - even with natural hair weaves. So, just buy some and starting to improve your look and enhance your charm.
