WhatsApp a free messaging app that has over 1 billion users in over 180 countries will introduce a new feature called “contact ranking system” in their recent app release. The App will rank your friends in order of how often you interact and the type of content you share with them.
What it means is that the App will automatically arrange your contact list status in ascending order of friends you interact with most. The status you see on topmost will be your favorite friend you chat with often.
The data will be used in the Status section of the app and monitor your activity with friends, showing you updates from the people it thinks you want to see at the top. Therefore people you frequently ignore or rarely interact with on the messaging app will be moved to the bottom of the list.
