General Officer Commanding 82 Division Enugu, Emmanuel Kabuk has called on Nigerian youths to shun social vices and become peace ambassadors so as to promote unity and national development.

Kabuk made the call during an award presentation by 2017/2018 executive of the Student Union Government, Institute of Management and Technology, to the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai in recognition for his achievements in the fight against insurgency.

Kabuk who received the award on behalf of Burutai, commended the S.U.G members for deeming it fit to recognise the Chief of Army Staff, and urged them to use their position to continue to educate the students on the need to be responsible citizens.

The G.O.C while assuring the S.U.G members of the army’s commitment towards ensuring peace and orderliness in the state, said youth activists should be people of integrity who have what it takes to represent the youths.

The S.U.G President, Monday Diamond, who thanked the G.O.C for his warm welcome, acknowledged Burutai’s efforts in promoting peace and protecting the territorial integrity of the nation.
