You remember the story of the Taxify driver that was tortured by SARS after a lady by name Alice Isah forgot her bag at the airport as reported in Punch newspapers of July 31st 2018?

A panel set up by the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo called Presidential panel on sars reforms(2018) been carried out by the National Human Rights Commission invited John Otuechere to come forward to give evidence against SARS.

On Wednesday 14th November 2018,John Otuechere gave a detailed account of what transpired, but the SARS officer named Omoleme was still denying he didn't torture John Otuechere, the panel asked how come he sustained injuries, he said a mob beat him. The panel wondered where the mob came from but they kept denying it. The panel now asked if the woman who gave wrong information to the police has been arrested,the SARS men kept dodging the question.Now, they asked how come a case of stealing find its way to SARS they said the commissioner gave the order, they asked where is the letter minuted by the commissioner, it was discovered the letter was not minuted.Alice Isah used her connections to illegally bring John Otuechere to SARS

John was invited the second day to bring the newspaper report of the matter which he did to buttress the point of his character been defamed but the SARS operatives kept denying.So the panel requested to see the woman that wrongfully accused John, Omoleme now said she just delivered a baby, this is a woman that was never pregnant,Where did the pregnancy come from. The woman came and was asked questions by the panel.She was asked if she truly forgot her bag at the airport, she said yes, she was asked if she was aware of my injuries,She said yes that I got injured when I was fixing my car,at that point she was scolded that instead for her to be apologetic for the pain she caused John Otuechere she was still bragging at that point the panel closed the case that she must find a way to compensate John Otuechere before they submit their report to the vice president.

At the end John Otuechere was vindicated and the SARS men were rubbished by their lies.
