One might ignorantly think the actions of the Academic Staffs of Universities' Union, Lautech chapter chaired by Dr. Biodun Olaniran since the inception of the lingering crisis bilwedering the institution is purely selfless and for the betterment of the institution as a whole.

But as time goes on, it became obvious to note that the ASUU chapter could as well be termed as part of the oppressors of the institution and the students in particular.

Evident from its selfish decision to withhold the results of all students, final year students in particular, thereby denying them the opportunity to serve their father land along with their colleagues.

The decision to keep mute in connection with the recent increment in tuition of students of Ladoke Akintola University affirms their total acceptance to choose to support the course of oppression to the students.

They are callous cowards that would employ the service of gallant soldiers to fight for their rights without putting the welfarism of the soldiers into consideration.

It is at a time of struggle for stability following the 18 months strike that the ASUU chapter is least expected to join a nationwide strike.

At this end, I would not hesitate to totally blame this union of retrogressives for the academic instability and degradation of the best state university in Nigeria. I hereby join the final students to fight for the release of their SOR and to stop the selfish union from using their futures as bait.
