the oldest of them all. when this movie was shot, there was nothing like Nollywood then. Okonkwo ( Ebubedike) , in retrospect, was the story of Nigeria, once a respected , rich promising country full of wealth and great potentials., but gradually, through mismanagement , corruption and lack of patriotic and detribalized leaders to manage her resources, slid down to a country which now relies on foreign loans to solve her problems. Just like Okonkwo, who rose from being nothing into becoming a rich hardworking respected man. He was the talk of town, and had everything working for him. But at the end he made great mistakes that led him into committing suicide. He died a shameful and miserable death. , and his corpse had to be brought down from the tree, by people of another town , his own people could not even touch his corpse, because it was an abomination to do so. Nigeria was once a country that had so much money, to the extent that gowon once said, and I quote "Nigeria is so rich, and has so much money, but what to do with the Money is what I don't know." today Nigeria is running after foriegn countries, borrowing money, and incurring billions and trillions of debts.
Chinua Achebe was not just a gifted writer, he was also a prophetic writer. Before his final days on earth, he dropped another blockbuster (there was a country). If you know, you know. When things fall apart, the center will never hold, again .

When Things fall apart, let The Parts start RUNNING The Things !!!
This is Restructuring of granting full Autonomy to The Parts.
This is Democracy of Government of the people by the people for the people.
The Demon in this Buhari's Presidency wants to cart The Parts, our Parts to Sahel Region so there will be no Yorubas, Igbos, Ijaws, Tivs, Ibibios etc again.
Things have fallen apart in Nigeria. The F.G can no longer perform. So let the 36 States run themselves individually and jointly run the FG. Nigeria is artificial, let us go back to Nature.
