With so many marriages failing, why aren't more couples having pre-nuptial agreements?
Even smart people who should know better don't see the need for it, is it taboo?

Nope, I don't have a pre-nup, One doesn't go into marriage, with the view to it failing.

If people paid more attention to the things that make a marriage work, as opposed to worrying about who gets what should divorce happen, there would be more good marriages, and less divorces.

Prenups are for the rich and wealthy or people with business organizations who are not incorporated. It is a tool to protect others, not necessarily yourself.
