Their leaders will seat, take a decision in their best interest and communicate to the rank and file.

For Tinubu its better to have a more liberal Atiku who will never harrass, humilate or try to cut down his power/influence in his own domain.

so you just alluded that atiku olx of nnpc is of personal interest, what power can atiku give tinubu that he doesn't have, sanwo olu is running an unopposed race, tinubu has consolidated his party as ruling across the west, he almost had his stake with gbajabiamila and senate if not for oyegun docility, he is about to switch off the saraki dynasty.

He has a president that does his bidding and is gaining love in the north while his candidate is at pole position to be president 2023.

Atiku presidency with saraki, kwankwanso etc would not provide him any of this.

Have we all forgotten that Tinubu wanted to be vice president and twas the Yoruba governors that put pressure on him to drop the idea.

Did Buhari remember that Osinbanjo was Tinubus boy and worked so hard for his victory at the polls when he said "i belong to nobody". Instead using proxies he proceeded to cut Tinubu to size for about three years... Until election cycle when they needed him.

Do you think Buharis betrayal and all the mockery that followed is lost on Tinubu. He keeps quiet because he does not want to fight a battle that he will lose...( he was able to fight Obasanjo because he had immunity as governor) and the full extent of his looting of Lagos state coffers was unknown back then.

Do you think Tinubu does not know that, if he helps Buhari to win this election again, then the sword that has been hanging on his head since Buhari became president will finally cut it off.


Politics is a very amoral game with no permanent friend nor pernanent enemy...only permanent Interest.

If sacrificing Osinbanjo will give him peace of mind and more wealth in the process and restore his dignity in the eyes of his kinsmen...why not take up the offer and work with a more liberal and understanding Atiku who is also a long time friend and business partner.

Moreso the vision Tinubu had for Nigeria, is not this crass incompetence, unbriddled corruption, obvious nepotism and wanton bloodshed that the fulani unleashed on other tribes...

so while they thought they had shut Tinubu up ,they were actually playing into his hands as it helped him dissociate his own political brand from the sickly , incompetent and blood thirsty image of Buhari

First, he has been quiet for a while, he only spoke during the Sanwo-Olu / Ambode drama.

He was obviously missing During APC next level launch.

Without doubt BAT is still very politically relevant in the South West and his body language can sway the region's vote to any direction.

Only time would tell.

And now....he declined to lead the campaign.....as he wants to concentrate on south west........That's an indirect signal and this confirms his absence at the next level launch. Tinubu is threading softly..once beaten twice shy
