Urchman200: Everyday super market with branches in Woji road GRA Portharcourt and their two big branches in ikenegu and World bank road Owerri, is a big player in the Mart industry, Atleast in the Old eastern axis. Igbos are actually trying by giving the multinationals like shoprite a run for their money through indigenous startups in the east. Another Mart to watch out for is Roban Stores, as well as priceless stores, which are fast taking over the eastern region |

Is this development? I might be wrong, but we need development beyond malls. Come to think of it, the owner isn't Nigerian. |

TedExNairaland: How is it Poverty? How does someone trying to empower another person equate to poverty?. Many of us often have this skewed mentality that buying from the big malls equals affluence, wealth etc.. On the contrary i think its actually a poor' man's idea of wealth- thats why some people living in Agege Lagos will pay transport fare of say N200 to go buy only a bottle of coke at shoprite in Ikeja for N100. I know very many rich people living in Lekki that send their house staff to come buy food items in bulk on the mainland to save cost. Buying from the neighborhood to help the petty trader across the street isnt poverty my Friend! |

[quote author=lonelydora post=73192445]Is this the Peter Obi's mall near Pabod at Trans-amadi? Park n Shop came, we rushed them. After sometime, people got fed up. Port Harcourt Mall came, we all rushed them, at a time, it was as if that's the only tourist destination in PH. People just walk in, take pictures and leave without buying any goods. Market Square came, we all rushed to buy too. All the 'small girl, big God' girls in PH were always there looking for who to maga. Now, Next Cash and Carry will soon open. Let me even go and buy a phone with high pixel camera which i will use to take picture when they start I love PH people because after sometime they will still abandon it for another new one. It's happening to Eateries too. Now, we are patronizing DOMINO'S PIZZA at Olu Obasanjo because they are new in town. I thought this happens in Uyo only. 1 Like 1 Share |

I expected to see some wow factor sha. The building is very boring and bland for a self acclaimed biggest mall. Port Harcourt mall is still the place to be. |
