The Minister Of Power, Works And Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, was at the University of Abuja yesterday where he had cause to entertain questions from inquisitive students on national issues. Expectedly, among many questions, a student named Charles Bukar asked him, "when are we going to have steady electricity in Nigeria?" "Soon and very soon" said the minister. "Already, we are making in-roads. It is public knowledge that 3 years ago, we had less than 3000 mega watts to share among 200 million Nigerians. But today, we have over 5000. And we have achieved generation and transmission capacity of 7000 mega watts. That's why we ask you to support us to continue the improvement beyond 2019. But aside these figures, how is power supply in your neighborhoods now?"
