I think it depends on the games though, playing highly demanding games on a laptop makes them heat up(because of small or no cooling fans at all), and I don't think its good for any kinda of electronic to be heating for a long time (it can damage the motherboard), and then gaming can be addictive.. Do the maths

It wouldn't be much of a problem on a desktop computer though (because of bigger cooling fans)..

There's a way you could use one stone to kill two birds though.
When playing game on your potatoe, put corn or your unbaked cake under, so that even if it parks up in 1 or 2 years you must have used the heat to roast your snacks all through that time (shrugs)
