what is going on, or is just me it is corn season and one can't find a strong enough corn to roast, boil, make ukpo eh anyone with idea which farm to go buy better strong corn, one that my healthy teeth can dig into without eating the cob in the name of eating corn? |

We eat it @ home here in Nigeria every evening with ube(pear), we pluck the ube from our backyard, so it's enuff for everyone. My favorite is the boiled corn it's sweeter during rainy season . |

where are you located? try one of the seafood or farmers markets. if you're lucky, you might get nigerian-style corn though dont bet on it. note- i said seafood market, not seafood restaurant. |

tpia, thanks. true o everywhere i've been to during summer, can't get sweet fresh corn. it is corn season now fa. farmer market, the ones i've been to got so many Amish baked food and fruits. trust me, the fresh corn just too soft for me . you know the kind you eat just one cob and you belleful it is even harder to make ukpo with them. nellaluv hey u, don't make me miss nigeria at all you hear fresh corn from my grandfather's farm and catalystic ube, good days back then. |
