The candidate of the People's Democratic party in the forthcoming Federal House of Representatives Election for Bende Constituency, Chief Chima Anyaso on Monday made a triumphant entry into his constituency to kick start the 2018 Federal House of Representatives Campaign.

CHIMA entered Umuahia accompanied by mammoth crowd of supporters cheering and singing.

The youthful Chima won the PDP Primary ticket defeating an incumbent legislator to emerge the party flag bearer.

En-route Bende from the Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri, Chima made a brief stop at the People's Democratic Party's secretariat in Umuahia to thank the Party leadership for the neutral role it played during the primary election which ensured his emergence after a successful, free, fair and Credible exercise.

Chima also assured the party of their victory during the polls. According to Chima: "My People are solidly Behind me, we will win without question. We will emerge victorious."

Reacting, the Chairman of the party, thanked Chima for identifying with the party and promised to work with him to ensure the party wins the election.

Also at the home of the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Chief Charles Ogbonna the House of Reps aspirant thanked Chief Ogbonna, whom he described as having played a pivotal role in the success of his emergence as the Party's Candidate.

Reacting, Chief Ogbonna appreciated the PDP candidate for the courtesy call adding that it is time for the Youths to lead. He said: "At age 65, I can't contest for Election again when we have Bright young men who would do well and serve the People well. Chima is a Man for the future. With him, the Future is bright not only for Bende, but for our State".

Chief Anyaso who was also received at Bende Local Government Headquarters by the Chairman, Gabriel Elendu and other PDP leaders of the Local Government assured them of his resolve to ensure the party records all round victory in 2019.

According to Anyaso: "We have everything right and we are hopeful Bende People are solidly Behind us and would vote for us. I want to also use this opportunity to call on our people to be watchful, During the Election, when they vote, they should guide and protect their ballots".

Reacting, the Chairman, Mr. Gabriel Elendu said they are campaigning for the entire Bende Constituency, as well as campaigning for the good and betterment of the People of Bende and the state in general.

Dr. Anyaso used the occasion of the visit to the various leaders to thank Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who he described as a performing Governor while also urging the people of Abia to reelect him to finish the good work he started in the state.
