The first time I lost a year was when my family relocated between states. It pained me but I adjusted quick. The second time was failing WAEC in SS3. I felt bad repeating the class but grew to like my former juniors, they were more diverse than my original set. The third time was losing a class in my second year of university. By then I had grown a thick skin to failure and didn't care about meeting to expectation. The only type of loss which mattered to me from then on was one killing my access to food or sex with a potential mate. Life nowadays is easy. One can get by being average. It is not a must to become an over achiever. If one makes grave mistakes in life their children can correct it in their life times. We should only ensure to make our offspring live better lives than us. 1 Like |

After wasting 17years of your life just cause you want to go to school, you still graduate and reality dawn on you that you don't need certificate to be successful in life and there are no jobs in Nigeria cause the supply of labour is greater than the demand for labour in the primary labour market. |

He should have added age to his testimony so it will become clearer. If he wrote WAEC 17 times, does it include private weac? That is he writes both each year or did he write the exam for 17 years? If that is the case, then he would have entered university close to 40 years old. |

17 times could mean waec, neco, waec GCE, neco GCE....4 exams in a year. 4*4yrs= 16+1=17. I think he is being economical with the truth though. |
